All Library books are now overdue and bills must be paid. Please check with your student or call the Library at 462-4367 to see if he/she is clear.
Volunteers are needed to assist with Library inventory on May 30th and May 31st, and textbook check-in on Wednesday, June 5th. This is a great opportunity to be involved at AJHS and your participation will be greatly appreciated! Please call 462-4367 to schedule a time to help!
Textbook check-in will be in the Library on Wednesday, June 5th, during regular school hours and after school from 3:00-5:30 p.m. All textbooks, class novels and Library books will be due and all bills must be paid at this time. You are financially responsible for all books checked out in their name. Pursuant to the Education Code 48904.B: Students are loaned books and are responsible for damages and their return upon demand. Any school district whose real or personal property has been willfully not returned upon demand, may withhold the grades, diploma, and transcripts of the pupil responsible until the pupil or pupil’s parents or guardian has paid for the damages or loss.

The Spring Yearbook Sales Event. Yearbooks can be purchased in the office with Mrs. DeRose for $50. $50 for a beautiful full-color, student-designed yearbook. We are expecting delivery in June and only have about 75 yearbooks left, so don't get left out.

8th Grade Promotion News - The date is Thursday, June 13th at 8:40 a.m. on the grassy area behind the AJHS office. Dress is casual. Parents, please let us know if you have a 6th grade student promoting as well so we can move your junior high student to front of the promotion line. In addition, please call and let us know if you are in need of handicap seating.
Help is needed during promotion - We also need 7th grade parents who would like to help from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the check out table on that day. This is the table where parents sign their 8th grade student out after promotion and pick up their promotion certificate.

The PARENT SPONSORED 8th grade promotion celebration party will be on Saturday, June 8th from 7:30pm to 9:30 p.m.at Kennedy Club Fitness. Tickets will be on sale Fridays May 3rd, 10th and 17th for $10 after school in front of the school office. Starting May 28th ticket prices will GO UP to $15. There will be no tickets sold after June 5th. Have a Release Form(available in the AJHS office) and bring it signed by a parent when purchasing your ticket.
We are also looking for gift card donations in $5-$10 amounts for raffle prizes.
